No buttermilk? No problems!


Just last week I was baking an extremely tasty looking chocolate cake, and the recipe required buttermilk. Wellthis isn’t an ingredient that I usually keep in the fridge, so the best solution was to make my own!  

Thirty seconds asking Mrs Google and I discoverated (yes, thats a word!) a substitute:
         1 cup milk
         juice of half a lemon
         Mix together and let sit for about 5 mins.

Done.
